| O*NET Usage: |
Clients proceed through a five-week program. During the first week,
participants complete the O*NET Interest Profiler and Work Importance
Locator, the paper/pencil versions. “Then I have them hit O*NET
Online to explore the occupations that are presented in their assessment
results. They look at occupations they are considering, in depth.
Then they are able to link off there to state data, and America’s
Career Infonet, and the Employer Locator, to see which employers are
hiring in given occupations. Then to America’s Job Bank. The
linking is wonderful. People really take to O*NET and all the places
it takes them.” |
